Emmanuel Yvinec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Schilling made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Carcot's zone, Joris Gaillard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Schilling came out of the goal and Joris Gaillard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emmanuel Yvinec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Farid Jehanno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Sissoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Franklin Sissoko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Jehanno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Franklin Sissoko came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Carcot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Sissoko couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Busnettes's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmid Brayer came free, but Farid Jehanno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin Sissoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Farid Jehanno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Farid Jehanno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Sissoko in the 40th minute of play. When Jean-Baptiste Bourre fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Busnettes's protests and gave Jean-Baptiste Bourre a yellow card for diving instead. Jean-Baptiste Bourre kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Busnettes's Jean-Baptiste Bourre got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Jean-Baptiste Bourre off the ground. After 44 played minutes Busnettes got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Baptiste Bourre. In the 45th minute of the match Achille Doudet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Farid Jehanno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franklin Sissoko to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ahmid Brayer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carcot's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmid Brayer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Jehanno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franklin Sissoko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Farid Jehanno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dimitri Blanquart fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carcot's protests and gave Dimitri Blanquart a yellow card for diving instead. Dimitri Blanquart hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Emmanuel Yvinec struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ferdinand Schilling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Busnettes. Herbert Marconnet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinand Schilling having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Sissoko in the 68th minute of play forced Busnettes's goalkeeper Farid Jehanno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Yvinec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The goalkeeper, Farid Jehanno, was totally fooled by Carcot's Achille Doudet, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Franklin Sissoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ahmid Brayer succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 92nd playminute.
