Davy Brothier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Moal in the 4th minute of the match. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jean-Francois Le Comte the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Coulogne protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jean-Francois Le Comte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 7th minute, one of Coulogne:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coulogne. In the 15th minute, Joe Gaudillere left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coulogne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Adam Deleglise hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vivien Gardien to make the kick off. Felix Lagrange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaise Engel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felix Lagrange. Coulogne's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Domont walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
