After 2 minutes, Mathys Moyon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fatines and the Saulzet players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fatines's goalkeeper Mourad Grapin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mourad Grapin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kader Salhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 10 played minutes Fatines got a freekick which was hit by Walter Devèze. 14 minutes into the match, Saulzet's goal looked a bit too open when Mathys Moyon came free, but Élie Hure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Saulzet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Aurèle Arlot to maneuver through the defense. Mathys Moyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Élie Hure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Élie Hure was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Igor Delfosse came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Fatines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Delfosse couldn't finish the play. Saulzet's Élie Hure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Delfosse in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Saulzet's Kader Salhi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mourad Grapin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jack Molinari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Hure having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Saulzet got a freekick which was hit by Philibert Burg. Igor Delfosse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Hure having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kader Salhi was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Justin Caire cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mourad Grapin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Justin Caire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saulzet's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Caire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mourad Grapin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, Walter Devèze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fatines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saulzet the free kick. Walter Devèze hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the game's 62nd minute Saulzet's Nolan Guermeur took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Mourad Grapin and thus the score was 3-1. Élie Hure didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Delfosse went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Walter Devèze kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Saulzet's Kader Salhi in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fatines's goalie prevented a goal. Igor Delfosse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Saulzet got a freekick which was hit by Nolan Guermeur. 94 minutes into the match, Fatines's Adil Alibert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Élie Hure narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Élie Hure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Delfosse in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Saulzet had won after a very even match.
