Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raymond Bonnard started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Lezennes got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Giner. Ahmid Christ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Bonnard in the 6th minute of play. Ahmid Christ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Bonnard, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Jason Dazy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lezennes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valency the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Lezennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Dazy to maneuver through the defense. Ethan Feraud kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Frédéric Gavoille sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmid Christ skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Valency getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Pierre-Henri Huyghe hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Valency's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmid Garet fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Franklin Le Forestier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Bernard Guillerme fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Valency's Gameiro Quiniou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Guillerme in the 36th minute of play. Ahmid Christ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Bonnard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Raymond Bonnard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valency fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half Valency were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernard Guillerme to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Raymond Bonnard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valency's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Bonnard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmid Christ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Raymond Bonnard notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lezennes's Ahmid Christ. Ahmid Christ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 58 minutes, Pierre-Henri Huyghe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valency and the Lezennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre-Henri Huyghe hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Valency's Gameiro Quiniou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmid Garet in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lezennes's Raphael Giner got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to Lezennes getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ethan Feraud hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Rémi Patoux fired a really elegant long shot, but Ahmid Christ threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After 73 minutes, Bernard Guillerme made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Valency's Gameiro Quiniou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Valency's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmid Garet came free, but Gameiro Quiniou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Franklin Le Forestier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Hemard hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Franklin Le Forestier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmid Christ was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Raymond Bonnard's late challenge caught a Lezennes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raymond Bonnard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Valency getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Raymond Bonnard hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Ahmid Garet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lezennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmid Garet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Valency supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valency would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
