Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paul-Henri Devoucoux kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Sonnaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Vasseur to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Divion's goal looked a bit too open when Paul-Henri Devoucoux came free, but Victor Jardin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sonnaz getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cedric Monteil hit a great ball. After 8 minutes, Eric Lepron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sonnaz and the Divion players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Divion booed when Sonnaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Lepron didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cedric Monteil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul-Henri Devoucoux took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Jardin. Victor Jardin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cedric Monteil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Jardin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Monteil, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Divion players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sonnaz were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Molard to make the kick off. Sam Vasseur kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Divion's Jonas Fouilloux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Jahan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes in the game, Cedric Monteil fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Victor Jardin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reda Mechin in the 67th minute of play forced Divion's goalkeeper Victor Jardin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Divion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Valente to maneuver through the defense. Sonnaz's Paul-Henri Devoucoux got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cedric Monteil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Jardin having to interfere. Loic Jaillet's late challenge caught a Sonnaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loic Jaillet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute of the game, Sonnaz got a penalty. Sonnaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Divion the free kick. The supporters of Divion booed when Sonnaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reda Mechin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Marcel Molard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Divion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Molard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jonas Fouilloux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Divion fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sonnaz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
