Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Longueval's Moussa Dailly started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Longueval's zone, Jean-Christophe Bentz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Delaforge came out of the goal and Jean-Christophe Bentz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Thierry Bardy fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guessier's protests and gave Thierry Bardy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Longueval booed when Guessier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Bardy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Moussa Dailly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longueval's supporters rose to their feet, but Moussa Dailly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karim Papon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute Flavien Grand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Papon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Longueval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John-Paul Le Bastard to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thierry Bardy in the 37th minute of play forced Longueval's goalkeeper Romeo Delaforge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Flavien Grand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Papon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moussa Dailly took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karim Papon. Karim Papon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 44th minute Flavien Grand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Papon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moussa Dailly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Guyomar charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantin Guyomar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Longueval booed when Guessier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Guyomar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moussa Dailly came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Longueval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moussa Dailly couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thierry Bardy to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thierry Bardy in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Delaforge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavien Grand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francois Legros kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Karim Papon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moussa Dailly in the 66th minute of play. In the 77th minute John-Paul Le Bastard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Papon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guessier's Karim Papon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Guessier from getting a goal against them. Karim Papon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moussa Dailly in the 83rd minute of play. Thierry Bardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Romeo Delaforge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thierry Bardy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thierry Bardy in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Delaforge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes in the game, Flavien Grand fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Karim Papon having to interfere. The Longueval supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Longueval would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
