Nelson Hervieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armand Louchart, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Robert Demol was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lorenzo Le Mouel. Grenay's Armand Louchart got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sam Perdrix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Robert Demol made a huge save. Brian Barres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armand Louchart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Hervieu having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Franklin Chazeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the game, Arthur Mangeot lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Robert Demol. After 36 played minutes Bois Impérial got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Jeanneret. After a rather tough play, Bois Impérial's David Boutier got a free kick in the 38th minute. Franklin Chazeau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Barres in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Hervieu saved Bois Impérial from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand Louchart in the 44th minute of play forced Bois Impérial's goalkeeper Nelson Hervieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Armand Louchart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes, Charles Ageorges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bois Impérial and the Grenay players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Armand Louchart's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Nelson Hervieu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Armand Louchart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 57th minute when Armand Louchart elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Grenay's Jérémie Rochat got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Brian Barres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grenay and the Bois Impérial players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grenay getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Brian Barres hit a great ball. Valentin Dugas struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Robert Demol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bois Impérial. Arthur Mangeot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Robert Demol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Armand Louchart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Mangeot in the 80th minute of play forced Grenay's goalkeeper Robert Demol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Hervieu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armand Louchart in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Sam Perdrix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Demol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armand Louchart's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nelson Hervieu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arthur Mangeot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Grenay's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Perdrix came free, but Robert Demol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Bois Impérial's Sam Perdrix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Demol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robert Demol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Mangeot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grenay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
