Pierrick Vatin was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Hippolyte Berthelon fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barre's protests and gave Hippolyte Berthelon a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barre fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ferté a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fabrice Séguret, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Barre's Pierrick Vatin. 0-1. Pierrick Vatin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prosper Pauly in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barre's Jean-Pierre Riera got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Prosper Pauly made a precise shot to the right of Pierrick Vatin. Barre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Camille Azam fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferté's protests and gave Camille Azam a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ferté's Camille Azam got a free kick in the 19th minute. Augustin Goudard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Augustin Goudard put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Pierrick Vatin. 26 minutes into the game, Gerald Colombo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferté the free kick. Antony Dubouchet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Arrighi having to interfere. If Prosper Pauly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Junior Massardier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barre and the Ferté players grew even worse after the yellow card. Junior Massardier kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barre's goalkeeper Pierrick Vatin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Ferté was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prosper Pauly to maneuver through the defense. Pierrick Vatin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prosper Pauly, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Junior Massardier was the one to do the kick off. Junior Massardier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rudy Arrighi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olivier Gratien's late challenge caught a Barre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivier Gratien helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Olivier Gratien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Massardier in the 67th minute of play forced Ferté's goalkeeper Rudy Arrighi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Augustin Goudard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferté's Olivier Gratien got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierrick Vatin came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferté's Prosper Pauly. But to his dismay, Prosper Pauly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. During the 91st minute of the match Camille Azam completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Camille Azam a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Ferté getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Camille Azam hit a great ball. In the 94th match minute, Barre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Junior Massardier to maneuver through the defense. Ferté's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
