If Alex Font had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Font fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Mazy having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alex Font managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nîmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Font was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre-Henri Mazy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Allegre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blaise Cave showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastien Marcellin in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Nîmes getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Faudel Adrien hit a great ball. Matheo Delory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaise Cave having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Kevin Allegre managed to get in a good position for a shot.
