In the 5th minute, one of Diote:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diote. After 9 minutes, Roman Said mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diote and the Chevalon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Diote getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Roman Said hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Tony Roignant made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Tronel. Diote's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Freddy Azoulay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tony Roignant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tony Roignant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Tronel having to interfere. Paulo Vives fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Tronel having to interfere. After the first half Chevalon were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Roignant was the one to do the kick off. Freddy Azoulay might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raymond Debove. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Azoulay ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Azoulay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Debove having to interfere. If Roman Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chevalon's goalkeeper Raymond Debove, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raymond Debove took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Said, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Freddy Azoulay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Debove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Said in the 79th minute of the match. Raymond Debove stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Azoulay's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes Chevalon got a freekick which was hit by Martial Blanco. Dorian Taine charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Taine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chevalon booed when Diote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Taine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Tronel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Vives in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Vives fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Tronel, passed just outside the right post. When Tony Roignant came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Chevalon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Roignant couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chevalon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
