Désiré Turbe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sammy Wiart came out and tried to block the shot, but Désiré Turbe slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Gorra's Désiré Turbe got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheo Mangel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Désiré Deniau having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georges Ronsin got free with Sammy Wiart in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noureddine Maupin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noureddine Maupin struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Désiré Deniau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapelle. In the 49th minute Matheo Mangel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Désiré Deniau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When Matheo Mangel came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Chapelle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheo Mangel couldn't finish the play. Désiré Deniau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdel Salou in the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Désiré Turbe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sammy Wiart was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Désiré Deniau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheo Mangel's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Matheo Mangel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Désiré Deniau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
