With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edouard Louche in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Bogaert saved Nieul from getting behind. Edouard Basso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Bogaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edouard Louche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Emeric Abed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nieul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecouen the free kick. The supporters of Ecouen booed when Nieul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emeric Abed didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gilbert Pene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Bogaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Bogaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Pene in the 86th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Nieul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarod Veillard to maneuver through the defense. Gilbert Pene might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Bogaert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilbert Pene ran back to his position shaking his head. Edouard Basso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Ecouen's Gilbert Pene sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Bogaert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecouen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
