The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruce Eude could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Edgard Perron made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Gaston Castex got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Baisieux defense, Gaston Castex kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonin Pichereau. The Baisieux fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonin Pichereau should have stopped the shot. The long shot by Marc-Antoine Fleurant in the 35th minute really tested Edgard Perron's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 42nd minute of the match Gaston Castex sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonin Pichereau skillfully saved the ball. Pierre-Henri Braconnier charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Henri Braconnier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonin Pichereau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Henri Braconnier, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
