If Steevy Vigoureux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th minute Jacques Andres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Raynal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didier Raynal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacques Andres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Longjumeau booed when Frescaty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Wach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bixente Génoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Olier in the 11th minute of play. Jacques Andres struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Didier Raynal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longjumeau. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Andres in the 14th minute of play forced Frescaty's goalkeeper Didier Raynal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Jacques Andres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Raynal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Noureddine Desailly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bixente Génoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steevy Vigoureux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carl Olier came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Frescaty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Olier couldn't finish the play. Bixente Génoud stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Olier's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Carl Olier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bixente Génoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Frescaty's Carl Olier made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bixente Génoud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacques Andres to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Willy Briatte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longjumeau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willy Briatte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Frescaty getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Samy Vandendriessche hit a great ball. Jacques Andres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacques Andres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Steevy Vigoureux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Longjumeau's Bixente Génoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Desailly in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Longjumeau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofiane Dubouchet to maneuver through the defense. If Carl Olier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didier Raynal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steevy Vigoureux in the 76th minute of play. When Jocelyn Lepère fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frescaty's protests and gave Jocelyn Lepère a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Frescaty getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jocelyn Lepère hit a great ball. Frescaty's Didier Raynal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacques Andres in the 78th minute of play. Bixente Génoud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noureddine Desailly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bixente Génoud made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Carl Olier sent off a good shot on target. Carl Olier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bixente Génoud made a huge save. Bixente Génoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Desailly, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Noureddine Desailly fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Frescaty's Didier Raynal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steevy Vigoureux in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 minutes of play Frescaty's Jocelyn Lepère was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 94 played minutes Frescaty got a freekick which was hit by Jocelyn Lepère. Jacques Andres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Didier Raynal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frescaty's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
