Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gouesnou's Marin Echard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Echard in the 3rd minute of play forced Douai's goalkeeper Charles-Henri Cassan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Gouesnou got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Emo. Douai's Leonard Duez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anatole Tosello but with some difficulty. 20 minutes into the game, Raymond Vitrac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gouesnou the free kick. In the 25th minute of the match Joris Boutier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anatole Tosello skillfully saved the ball. Gouesnou's Anatole Tosello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gouesnou from getting a goal against them. If Joris Duchatel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrice Baranger hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Simon Barbaroux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Barbaroux made a kick off. Achille Meriguet's late challenge caught a Douai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achille Meriguet helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gouesnou's Achille Meriguet got a free kick in the 54th minute. Charles-Henri Cassan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Echard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles-Henri Cassan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris Duchatel in the 58th minute. Gouesnou's Anatole Tosello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Gross in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Douai's Charles-Henri Cassan got control of the ball when Patrice Baranger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gouesnou's Marin Echard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles-Henri Cassan. That made the score 0-2 after 75 minutes of play. In the 84th minute Douai were awarded a corner. Leonard Duez went to the cornerflag to take it. Charles-Henri Cassan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Echard in the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, Douai's Nathan Gross made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anatole Tosello was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gouesnou had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
