Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charlie Vacheron started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Lavorel in the 4th minute of play forced Frouzins's goalkeeper Régis Quenet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marc Lavorel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Rosier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Vacheron, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 10th match minute, Stains was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Curtet to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Stains booed when Frouzins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcom Luccioni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Bixente Fumey sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Régis Quenet threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Bixente Fumey this time. A collision led to Frouzins getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Malcom Luccioni hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Lavorel in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Régis Quenet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stains's Marc Lavorel was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Marc Lavorel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joël Pouzet in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Régis Quenet, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marc Lavorel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malcom Luccioni hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Frouzins's zone, Marc Lavorel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Quenet came out of the goal and Marc Lavorel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gildas Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marius Rosier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Lavorel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Quenet having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Lavorel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Régis Quenet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joël Pouzet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Franklin Pages fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Malcom Luccioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Rosier having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Joël Pouzet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stains's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joël Pouzet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 minutes of play, Stains's Marc Lavorel made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Régis Quenet was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Djibril Mercadier during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Frouzins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djibril Mercadier to maneuver through the defense. Marc Lavorel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Régis Quenet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luc Péry during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stains's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frouzins the free kick. The supporters of Frouzins booed when Stains was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Lavorel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marc Lavorel came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Stains fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Lavorel couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Stains players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
