Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dominique Lesauvage kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Peurye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Chevrel to maneuver through the defense. After 3 minutes, Marc Lavorel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stains and the Peurye players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stains's Marc Lavorel got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Marc Lavorel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominique Lesauvage in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marius Rosier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominique Lesauvage in the 14th minute of play forced Stains's goalkeeper Marius Rosier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Stains booed when Peurye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Olivier Godineau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Christophe Gleyze charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Christophe Gleyze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stains! Stains:s Marius Rosier showed great skill when he stopped Jim Camilleri:s penalty. In the 30th minute, Stains's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dominique Lesauvage fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Peurye's Pierrick Gestin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Lavorel in the 35th minute of play. Joël Pouzet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Cambon hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Lavorel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Peurye's goalkeeper Pierrick Gestin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joël Pouzet. When Marc Lavorel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Stains fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Lavorel couldn't finish the play. Marc Lavorel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Pierrick Gestin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Peurye's goalkeeper Pierrick Gestin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marius Rosier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominique Lesauvage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stains's Joël Pouzet pulled a muscle in his leg after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 72 minutes, Jim Camilleri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peurye and the Stains players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peurye! The goalkeeper, Pierrick Gestin, was totally fooled by Stains's Bixente Fumey, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marius Rosier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Cambon, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Marius Rosier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominique Lesauvage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony Chevrel's late challenge caught a Stains's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Chevrel helped the player get up and apologised. Pierrick Gestin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Lavorel's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Peurye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominique Lesauvage to maneuver through the defense. Marc Lavorel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierrick Gestin having to interfere.
