Jolan Chapuis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceyrat. When Victorien Vautrin fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceyrat's protests and gave Victorien Vautrin a yellow card for diving instead. When Auberchicourt's Herve Barbereau, in the 9th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Auberchicourt. William Chevallier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe Guerinet in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Auberchicourt getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eddy Albaret hit a great ball. Herve Barbereau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Chevallier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes of play Ceyrat's Victorien Vautrin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Victorien Vautrin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Ceyrat's goal looked a bit too open when Herve Barbereau came free, but William Chevallier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Auberchicourt's Herve Barbereau in 27 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. William Chevallier guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Philippe Guerinet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. William Chevallier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jolan Chapuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Vinay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hubert Carrara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jolan Chapuis having to make a save. Herve Barbereau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. William Chevallier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Tim Vinay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Yann Tourret shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Chevallier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hubert Carrara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mathis Seve hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. William Chevallier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herve Barbereau in the 61st minute of the match. Herve Barbereau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Chevallier having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Ceyrat's goal looked a bit too open when Herve Barbereau came free, but William Chevallier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herve Barbereau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. William Chevallier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jolan Chapuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Carrara in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubert Carrara in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jolan Chapuis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Philippe Guerinet sped through Ceyrat's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Chevallier. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philippe Guerinet got free with William Chevallier in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sacha Dazin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jolan Chapuis. Auberchicourt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Auberchicourt walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
