After a defensive mix-up in Mazingarbe's zone, Karl Arnoux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corentin Scherrer came out of the goal and Karl Arnoux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ronan Pierrot fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mazingarbe's protests and gave Ronan Pierrot a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Mazingarbe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montrabé:s goal. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Montrabé's Melvin Gamba got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Corentin Scherrer. Melvin Gamba charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melvin Gamba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 12 minutes into the game, one of Montrabé:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Karl Arnoux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Gildas Ondet made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Emeric Vernhet managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Mazingarbe's Joffrey Rouillon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gildas Ondet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeric Vernhet having to interfere. A collision led to Mazingarbe getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ruben Brulin hit a great ball. If Karl Arnoux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Arnoux in the 63rd minute of play forced Mazingarbe's goalkeeper Corentin Scherrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norbert Gibert during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montrabé's Norbert Gibert got a free kick in the 64th minute. When Morgan Gourdon fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
