After a defensive mix-up in Authie's zone, Pierre-Emmanuel Piotrowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georges Brossard came out of the goal and Pierre-Emmanuel Piotrowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georges Brossard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Pheulpin in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Joseph Brochard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Pheulpin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Brossard having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Cagny got a freekick which was hit by Malik Chesneau. Georges Brossard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Lorho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Mario Pheulpin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Georges Brossard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gildas Cabanne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliott Berthelot having to interfere. Eliott Berthelot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gildas Cabanne in the 33rd minute. Harold Lorho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Brossard having to interfere. Roland Boissier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roland Boissier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harold Lorho to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Roland Boissier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Authie's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Boissier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliott Berthelot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Harold Lorho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Lelievre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliott Berthelot having to interfere. Authie's Georges Brossard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Authie from getting a goal against them. Georges Brossard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Lorho in the 80th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Authie's goalkeeper Georges Brossard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Pheulpin. In the 89th minute, Joseph Brochard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cagny getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Leon Gaudet hit a great ball. The Cagny supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cagny would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
