John Benoit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Courçay got a freekick which was hit by Ali Égret. After some careless play in the Gallice defense, Simon Bégaud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Benoit. The Gallice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Benoit should have stopped the shot. The referee ignored Gallice's protests and gave Flavian Crochard a yellow card for diving instead.
