After 6 played minutes, Bousquet's Bertrand Deroche shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joris Antonelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bousquet reached it. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limoges's goalkeeper Joris Antonelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joris Antonelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Yves Mahieu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Alain Bourrat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damien Quiniou hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Manuel Wozniak hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Alain Bourrat came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Limoges fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alain Bourrat couldn't finish the play. When Stanislas Houlle fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bousquet's protests and gave Stanislas Houlle a yellow card for diving instead. Stanislas Houlle hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Bourrat in the 16th minute of play forced Bousquet's goalkeeper Bérenger Delatour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Wozniak hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Alain Bourrat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Bousquet got a freekick which was hit by Stéphane Debruyne. Bérenger Delatour didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 26th minute Alain Bourrat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bérenger Delatour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Redouane Plaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Yves Mahieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joris Antonelli having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alain Bourrat made a kick off. Bérenger Delatour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Redouane Plaud in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Redouane Plaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limoges's supporters rose to their feet, but Redouane Plaud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bérenger Delatour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bousquet's Gauthier Guilmain in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Limoges's goalie prevented a goal. In the 67th minute Gauthier Guilmain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Antonelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Limoges's Joris Antonelli got control of the ball when Jean-Yves Mahieu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alain Bourrat took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bérenger Delatour. Bérenger Delatour dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a little luck, Limoges's Joris Antonelli got control of the ball when Jean-Yves Mahieu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alain Bourrat came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Limoges fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alain Bourrat couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Alain Bourrat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoges's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alain Bourrat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Wozniak kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Arnold Vimont was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bousquet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limoges the free kick. The supporters of Limoges booed when Bousquet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Vimont didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Redouane Plaud in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bérenger Delatour saved Bousquet from getting behind. Limoges's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
