The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Lignier during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Florentin Burgard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Didier Blaise dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Danny Leydier, 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mathonex fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mounine had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
