When Pierre-Loup Touzard fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sayat's Omer Goux got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Scios were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joffrey Gobet was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Scios got a freekick which was hit by Timothé Pasteur. When Auguste Iltis came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sayat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Auguste Iltis couldn't finish the play. Auguste Iltis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moïse Monchaux having to interfere. A collision led to Sayat getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dave Cosson hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Fred Guezennec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Guezennec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moïse Monchaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auguste Iltis in the 87th minute of the match. Scios were furious when Gilles Bergeot was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Scios fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Sayat a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Louison Donnart, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Scios's Moïse Monchaux. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
