Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chien's Aziz Bigotte started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Batiste Gonnord made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Passet in the 7th minute of play. Alex Passet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Angle's goal looked a bit too open when Aziz Bigotte came free, but Gaston Carlier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Angle's Mehdi Boudy got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chien's goalkeeper Batiste Gonnord, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Régent in the 27th minute of play forced Chien's goalkeeper Batiste Gonnord to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Manuel Fay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aziz Bigotte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes, Manuel Fay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angle and the Chien players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chien booed when Angle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Fay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Passet in the 46th minute of play forced Chien's goalkeeper Batiste Gonnord to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Passet to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Angle got a freekick which was hit by Valérien Suret. Aziz Bigotte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gaston Carlier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Carlier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Bigotte in the 63rd minute of the match. Mehdi Boudy's late challenge caught a Chien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehdi Boudy helped the player get up and apologised. Mehdi Boudy kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Aziz Bigotte came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Chien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Bigotte couldn't finish the play. Aziz Bigotte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Carlier having to interfere. If Alex Passet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Angle booed when Chien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Clermont didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angle's Hocine Ottavi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Batiste Gonnord but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Clermont during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. David Clermont hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
