Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abdel Canonne started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Louvain's goalkeeper Josselin Mege had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karim Madiot. 7 minutes into the match, Louvain's goal looked a bit too open when Abdel Canonne came free, but Josselin Mege reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vedene getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Justin Diebold hit a great ball. When Vedene's Abdel Canonne in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Josselin Mege guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Junior Pretot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Larcheveque in the 27th minute of play. Vedene's Junior Pretot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofiane Bourse in the 30th minute of play. Louvain were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Vedene's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodrigue Lafaurie took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigue Lafaurie got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Junior Pretot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Junior Pretot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofiane Bourse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdel Canonne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sofiane Bourse to make the kick off. If Sofiane Bourse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karim Madiot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Junior Pretot was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Basile Rabot. Eymeric Breard's late challenge caught a Vedene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eymeric Breard helped the player get up and apologised. When Abdel Canonne came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vedene fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdel Canonne couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vedene booed when Louvain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reda Helie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marvin Mercier hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Karim Madiot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Josselin Mege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vedene's Justin Diebold got a free kick in the 79th minute. Justin Diebold hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Sofiane Bourse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Junior Pretot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sofiane Bourse in the 87th minute of the match. Josselin Mege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Madiot in the 89th minute of the match.
