After 8 played minutes Villemeneux got a freekick which was hit by César Juhel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdel Canonne in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernand Moussaoui saved Villemeneux from getting behind. Fernand Moussaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdel Canonne in the 12th minute of play. Vedene's Junior Pretot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel Rumeau in the 17th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Villemeneux got a freekick which was hit by César Juhel. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villemeneux's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alain Chirat was slow to take the kick. During this time Vedene's players had a chance to rest. Alain Chirat made a great header on Vedene's corner, it was just that Villemeneux's Fernand Moussaoui managed to reach the ball for a save. Junior Pretot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Béquet in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Lionel Rumeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Pretot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Abdel Canonne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villemeneux's Fernand Moussaoui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karim Madiot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Fernand Moussaoui when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Vedene's zone, Donovan Béquet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Junior Pretot came out of the goal and Donovan Béquet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hassan Gautier kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Vedene's Alain Chirat couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Villemeneux. In the 44th minute, Donovan Béquet made a precise shot to the right of Junior Pretot. Vedene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Villemeneux's Lionel Rumeau got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 55th minute Vedene were awarded a corner. Alain Chirat went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Alain Chirat almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villemeneux's Fernand Moussaoui did a great save. When Abdel Canonne, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 57 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fernand Moussaoui was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Abdel Canonne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fernand Moussaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vedene's Karim Madiot got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Canonne in the 66th minute of play forced Villemeneux's goalkeeper Fernand Moussaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Madiot in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernand Moussaoui saved Villemeneux from getting behind. Lionel Rumeau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Junior Pretot made a huge save. Gérald Coquel's late challenge caught a Villemeneux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gérald Coquel helped the player get up and apologised. Gérald Coquel kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vedene's Justin Diebold got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Villemeneux's Faustin Sagna broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 78th minute, Karim Madiot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lionel Rumeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Donovan Béquet came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Villemeneux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donovan Béquet couldn't finish the play. Donovan Béquet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Junior Pretot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Lionel Rumeau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villemeneux's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel Rumeau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Donovan Béquet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Pretot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vedene's Junior Pretot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Vedene from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Vedene's zone, Donovan Béquet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Junior Pretot came out of the goal and Donovan Béquet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gérald Coquel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vedene supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Villemeneux's performance. The match ended with a win for Villemeneux.
