After 13 minutes, Philippe Jenny made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Eschau's Fabien Etchegaray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabien Etchegaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Clemencon, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eschau's Lenny Brou slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrice Groleau. That made the score 1-2 after 17 minutes of play. 23 minutes into the match, Edgard Truchet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrice Groleau. Rognac's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Truchet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Patrice Groleau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Brou, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 36 played minutes Rognac got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Coussy. Patrice Groleau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lenny Brou's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 39 played minutes, Rognac's Regis Dewitte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabien Etchegaray came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rognac reached it. After 43 minutes Rognac's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodolphe Bailly who took care of the corner kick. Eschau's Rodolphe Bailly was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patrice Groleau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 48th minute, Samuel Clemencon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Etchegaray was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philippe Jenny to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgard Truchet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrice Groleau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Truchet, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rognac's Benjamin Coussy got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philippe Jenny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fabien Etchegaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rognac's goalkeeper Patrice Groleau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Eschau's Lenny Brou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrice Groleau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgard Truchet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrice Groleau having to interfere. Fabien Etchegaray made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Samuel Clemencon sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenny Brou in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrice Groleau saved Rognac from getting behind. Samuel Clemencon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
