The crowd rose to their feet as Pierrick Deman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrice Groleau. That made the score 2-1 in the 72 minute of play. Rognac's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Pierrick Deman scored to the left of an out of position Patrice Groleau, making the score, 2-2. With his leg Patrice Groleau managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when Messein's Gustave Courbon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
