The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Charles Roussey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célestin Bouissou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Juste kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Albigny's goalkeeper Charles Roussey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mathis Gass charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mathis Gass the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Albigny's Mathis Gass got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Pierre-Emmanuel Quintard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles Roussey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pierre Thil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathis Gass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Gagneraie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilles Ballereau to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Parat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Charles Roussey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josselin Tabouret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Thil having to interfere. Charles Roussey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Parat in the 23rd minute of play. Charles Roussey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célestin Bouissou, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Albigny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emile Delavaud to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Parat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josselin Tabouret got free with Pierre Thil in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Sebastien Lequien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Parat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gagneraie's Gaston Parat got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albigny's Mathis Gass got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Mathis Gass off the ground. A collision led to Albigny getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mathis Gass hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gagneraie's zone, Laurent Dubois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Thil came out of the goal and Laurent Dubois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes Gagneraie got a freekick which was hit by Modeste Senet. If Célestin Bouissou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célestin Bouissou made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Parat got free with Charles Roussey in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Roussey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célestin Bouissou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Célestin Bouissou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Roussey having to interfere. Célestin Bouissou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 played minutes, Albigny's Teddy Flahaut shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierre Thil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Albigny reached it. After 81 minutes, Gilles Ballereau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gagneraie and the Albigny players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Gagneraie got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Ballereau. Gaston Parat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gagneraie fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Gagneraie's Célestin Bouissou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gagneraie played a much better game than Albigny and deserved their victory. The Albigny players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
