Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joey Mottier took the kick off in the first half of the match. Emmanuel Boulange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Mottier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Emerchicourt booed when Gavrus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Alix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Dominique recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Fabrice Pitois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanuel Boulange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Mottier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavrus's Roland Tonnellier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewan Chantreau in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Emerchicourt's zone, Thomas Denjean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emmanuel Boulange came out of the goal and Thomas Denjean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerchicourt's Jerome Lavisse managed to work through Gavrus's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jerome Lavisse dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ewan Chantreau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerchicourt's supporters rose to their feet, but Ewan Chantreau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Tonnellier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jerome Lavisse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Jerome Lavisse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ewan Chantreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Ewan Chantreau took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roland Tonnellier to make any attempt to save it. If Thomas Denjean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerome Lavisse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Tonnellier having to interfere. Ewan Chantreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Emmanuel Boulange as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thomas Denjean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Emmanuel Boulange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gavrus's Joey Mottier in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Emmanuel Boulange was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Emerchicourt through an amazing save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
