Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Roquevaire's Lamine Racine started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Roquevaire's Richard Massonnet got control of the ball when Celestin Landy tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Roquevaire getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mickaël Cardon hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Jean-Marc Magdeleine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rodolphe Kerhoas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vincent Combette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Richard Massonnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolphe Kerhoas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lamine Racine, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A hard shot 27 in the game by Vincent Combette from a close distance when the talented Richard Massonnet managed to make a qualified save. Roquevaire's players were relieved. Celestin Landy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Massonnet having to interfere. Alex Janot's late challenge caught a Roquevaire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Janot helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Alex Janot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Marc Magdeleine in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolphe Kerhoas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Gautier during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
The wind increased when Vincent Combette made the kick off in the second half. Jean-Marc Magdeleine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolphe Kerhoas having to interfere. Gilles Nicaud's late challenge caught a Roquevaire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilles Nicaud helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Groslay! The goalkeeper, Rodolphe Kerhoas, was totally fooled by Roquevaire's Karim Audibert, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Richard Massonnet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Combette, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 75th minute, Vincent Combette left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Groslay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jean-Marc Magdeleines short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Rodolphe Kerhoas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 84th minute Celestin Landy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Massonnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lamine Racine in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolphe Kerhoas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Celestin Landy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Celestin Landy came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Groslay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestin Landy couldn't finish the play. The Groslay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Roquevaire's performance. The match ended with a win for Roquevaire.
