The crowd rose to their feet as Vedene's Ernest Carli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georges Eude. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Jocelyn Soula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Georges Eude tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vedene's goalkeeper Paul-Émile Gaudre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Truch's goalkeeper Georges Eude had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jocelyn Soula. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basile Lafay in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul-Émile Gaudre saved Vedene from getting behind. Ernest Carli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Ernest Carli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Carli in the 51st minute of play forced Truch's goalkeeper Georges Eude to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Châtelier charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lionel Châtelier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Truch's Lionel Châtelier got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Basile Lafay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Truch's Marco Giret got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georges Eude showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jocelyn Soula in the 65th minute of the match. Ernest Carli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Giret got free with Paul-Émile Gaudre in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Basile Lafay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul-Émile Gaudre having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Marco Giret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Truch's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Giret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul-Émile Gaudre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Truch's Basile Lafay in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vedene's goalie prevented a goal. Truch's Marco Giret got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
