Octave Marlot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Thibault in the 3rd minute of play. If Romeo Brohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Gerard Tabard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portiragnes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katzenthal the free kick. 15 minutes into the match, Portiragnes's goal looked a bit too open when Grégory Verhille came free, but Leopold Audebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jean-François Pagniez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Tabard kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Jean-François Pagniez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leopold Audebert, passed just outside the right post. The attack was good, but when Grégory Verhille in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Josselin Verne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Katzenthal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Delesalle to maneuver through the defense. Grégory Verhille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-François Pagniez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leopold Audebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Christophe Degardin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Brohan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Octave Marlot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Romeo Brohan made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Katzenthal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dimitri Ayral was slow to take the kick. During this time Portiragnes's players had a chance to rest. Roger Cammas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octave Marlot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Brohan in the 57th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Katzenthal got a freekick which was hit by Christophe Degardin. If Romeo Brohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruce Delesalle kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Salomon Harmand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Katzenthal's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Brohan came free, but Octave Marlot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Katzenthal's Josselin Verne got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th match minute, Katzenthal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josselin Verne to maneuver through the defense. Katzenthal's Octave Marlot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Brohan in the 91st minute of play. Octave Marlot made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Salomon Harmand sent off a good shot on target. Romeo Brohan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octave Marlot having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
