After a defensive mix-up in Louvain's zone, Anatole Michoux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salim Ghys came out of the goal and Anatole Michoux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Somain's goalkeeper Roman Lemarechal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Dargaud. Jean Dargaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 94th minute, Youssef Vienne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Louvain had been in control for most of the match, Somain still came away with the win.
