Mayonnette's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armand Maridet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Fèves's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aime Bareille fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Armand Maridet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Maurice Quere made a huge save. The goalkeeper, Maurice Quere, was totally fooled by Mayonnette's Georges Rivier, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damien Lamart to make the kick off. After 58 played minutes Fèves got a freekick which was hit by Yves Rethore. Mayonnette's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Georges Rivier in the 61st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Nathan Delos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ulysse Michelet kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Aime Bareille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Bob Belon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armand Maridet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Maurice Quere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Fèves's goal looked a bit too open when Aime Bareille came free, but Maurice Quere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Mayonnette were the better team. Mayonnette's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
