Chappes's Benoit Caumont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugues Bichon in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Chappes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Samy Hocquet hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugues Bichon in the 28th minute of play forced Chappes's goalkeeper Benoit Caumont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Achéres's Régis Abidal got a free kick in the 34th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Achéres's goal looked a bit too open when Gilles Labatut came free, but Walter Rolland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Marin Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chappes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Régis Abidal was slow to take the kick. During this time Achéres's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Achéres's corner Régis Abidal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benoit Caumont quite easily take care of the ball. Hugues Bichon spun around in front of the goal 98 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chappes's goal. The Achéres players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
