Honoré Gilot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Élie Gabard fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rove's protests and gave Élie Gabard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lissieu booed when Rove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Élie Gabard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Stevens in the 7th minute of play forced Rove's goalkeeper Honoré Gilot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gael Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Very in the 14th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Gustave Charra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lissieu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rove the free kick. In the 20th minute, Gustave Charra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Paulo Very got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rove's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yves Heron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Daniel Cassagne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gael Barra made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Daniel Cassagne sent off a good shot on target. Axel Stevens took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honoré Gilot. Honoré Gilot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Stevens was the one to do the kick off. If Axel Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rove's zone, Axel Stevens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honoré Gilot came out of the goal and Axel Stevens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Davy Marcus hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Paulo Very sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Élie Gabard got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Rove's Élie Gabard got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Lissieu's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cassagne came free, but Gael Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Stevens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honoré Gilot having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, Rove's goalkeeper Honoré Gilot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yves Heron. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Daniel Cassagne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rove's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Cassagne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gael Barra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gael Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Very in the 90th minute of play. Davy Marcus was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Lissieu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Lissieu booed when Rove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Hénault didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honoré Gilot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Stevens, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
