The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Thumeries booed when Onnaing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Berteaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Onnaing's goalkeeper Mathys Desseaux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Marie Sonnet. Onnaing's Mathys Desseaux proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Onnaing from getting a goal against them. When Tristan Metro fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Onnaing's protests and gave Tristan Metro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Tristan Metro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Charpin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mathys Desseaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacques Bottin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simon Pouillard to strike the kick off in the second half. Claude Charpin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathys Desseaux having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Pouillard in the 57th minute of play forced Thumeries's goalkeeper Edgard Mennesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Simon Pouillard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Mennesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Pouillard, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Simon Pouillard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Fabien Bono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Onnaing defense, Claude Charpin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathys Desseaux. The Onnaing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathys Desseaux should have stopped the shot. When Onnaing's Simon Pouillard in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thumeries's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Thumeries's Edgard Mennesson got control of the ball when Jacques Bottin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jean-Marie Sonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 96th minute of the match Gregory Berteaux completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gregory Berteaux a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Onnaing's Gregory Berteaux got a free kick in the 97th minute.
