To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucas Souchon fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aingeray's protests and gave Lucas Souchon a yellow card for diving instead. Lucas Souchon hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Coppens in the 62nd minute of play forced Crezin's goalkeeper Etienne Allibert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Théophile Darracq made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Duriez in the 64th minute. In the 95th minute, Louison Tournant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If John Marx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Albaret kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
