Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Daumont in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yvan Le Mao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Raynaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Guinard, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Eddy Durant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brian Guinard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Blausasc's Joaquim Daumont slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yvan Le Mao. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the game, Hachimette's Eddy Durant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Raynaud made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Bertrand Ondet kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Joaquim Daumont managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blausasc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Daumont was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Daumont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Yvan Le Mao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Blausasc booed when Hachimette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Davoine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes, Victor Garot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hachimette and the Blausasc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Hachimette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Garot to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Blausasc's Ali Lamalle fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Daumont made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Frederic Le Boulch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hachimette and the Blausasc players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Eddy Durant came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Hachimette fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddy Durant couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertrand Ondet during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Blausasc's Bertrand Ondet got a free kick in the 70th minute. Blausasc's Carlos Raynaud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Guinard in the 74th minute of play. If Eddy Durant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Daumont recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
