The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erwann Martz made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Pacome Rivoire sent off a good shot on target. Erwann Martz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Mary in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Djimmy Poyet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Marcel Mary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwann Martz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Paul Brice's late challenge caught a Sentinelle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Paul Brice helped the player get up and apologised. Bouffémont:s Steven Brochier showed great skill when he stopped Bixente Loche:s penalty. Jean-Paul Brice hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Bixente Loche shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steven Brochier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Harold Leleux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Brochier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Leleux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harold Leleux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Steven Brochier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Sentinelle's goalkeeper Erwann Martz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pacome Rivoire. Erwann Martz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Mary's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Erwann Martz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Mary, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Marcel Mary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Erwann Martz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Thomas Quesnel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bouffémont and the Sentinelle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harold Leleux who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Steven Brochier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Pacome Rivoire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacome Rivoire in the 67th minute of play forced Sentinelle's goalkeeper Erwann Martz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lionel Vasse hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Harold Leleux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
