Guy Ackermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Buttin in the 7th minute of the match. Mathias Chavet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nathan Buttin in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guy Ackermann saved Nivelle from getting behind. Nathan Buttin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guy Ackermann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Mathias Chavet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Nivelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Leman to maneuver through the defense. Germain Bernardet didn't quite understand what happened when in the 28 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 32 played minutes Paquière got a freekick which was hit by Eloi Loubiere. Mathias Chavet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Ackermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Buttin in the 36th minute of play. When Augustin Dormoy came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Nivelle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Dormoy couldn't finish the play. Mathias Chavet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nivelle's Guy Ackermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Buttin in the 44th minute of play. Nathan Buttin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Guy Ackermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Chavet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymond Le Boulch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Nivelle got a corner. Paquière's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexis Leman ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nivelle's Alexis Leman to fire away a dangerous shot which Philippe Hardouin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Le Boulch in the 66th minute of play forced Paquière's goalkeeper Philippe Hardouin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nivelle's Guy Ackermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Nivelle from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Paquière's Guy Ackermann threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nathan Buttin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Raymond Le Boulch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Philippe Hardouin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Francois Musset cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Philippe Hardouin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nathan Buttin struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Guy Ackermann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paquière. Pierre-Olivier Duboc charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Olivier Duboc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, Paquière was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Olivier Duboc to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Nivelle getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. David Pelisson hit a great ball. In the 97th minute of the match, Nathan Buttin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guy Ackermann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paquière players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nivelle.
