When John-David Bouton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 2 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Guy Ackermann was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If John-David Bouton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Augustin Dormoy fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nivelle's protests and gave Augustin Dormoy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th play minute Maximilien Leininger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guy Ackermann. 1-0. In the 22nd minute Raymond Le Boulch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Buatois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Raymond Le Boulch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Schaefer kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Chuzelles getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sylvain Jubin hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Chuzelles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Triboulet to maneuver through the defense. Raymond Le Boulch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jimmy Buatois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Sylvain Jubin charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sylvain Jubin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sylvain Jubin hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Nivelle's Raymond Le Boulch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jimmy Buatois. That made the score 1-2 after 67 minutes of play. John-David Bouton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Guy Ackermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francois Musset came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Nivelle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francois Musset couldn't finish the play. John-David Bouton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Guy Ackermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nivelle's Guy Ackermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximilien Leininger in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nivelle walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
