Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 8th minute Harold Carlier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Février saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harold Carlier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Joachim Février tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romuald Guillemot in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Février saved Verlinghem from getting behind. The supporters of Roques booed when Verlinghem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Chanut didn't get a good kick on the ball. René Lachambre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Robert Battut made a huge save. Charles-Henri Chaperon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Verlinghem's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Robert Battut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles-Henri Chaperon, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Achille Plane in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robert Battut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 31 minutes into the game, Charles-Henri Chaperon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robert Battut. Charles-Henri Chaperon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Verlinghem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matthieu Brayer in the 37th minute. Verlinghem's Achille Plane got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Verlinghem's Robert Battut threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Charles-Henri Chaperon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the game, Roques's Joel Fauquembergue nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joachim Février made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harold Carlier made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Verlinghem got a freekick which was hit by Charles-Henri Bodereau. Romuald Cosse took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joachim Février. Verlinghem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Charles-Henri Chaperon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Robert Battut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Achille Plane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Verlinghem's zone, Joel Fauquembergue stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Février came out of the goal and Joel Fauquembergue tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gameiro Dumas fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verlinghem's protests and gave Gameiro Dumas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Roques booed when Verlinghem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gameiro Dumas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achille Plane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joachim Février made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Fauquembergue in the 67th minute. Robert Battut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles-Henri Chaperon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles-Henri Chaperon might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Battut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charles-Henri Chaperon ran back to his position shaking his head. When René Lachambre fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verlinghem's protests and gave René Lachambre a yellow card for diving instead. René Lachambre hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of Roques booed when Verlinghem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gameiro Dumas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Roques's goal looked a bit too open when Charles-Henri Chaperon came free, but Robert Battut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Fauquembergue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Février having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
