Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Jean-Baptiste kicked off to start the match. Blaise Boule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eden Salaün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Caen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serge Duprat to maneuver through the defense. Vallauris were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Caen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthieu Bogard took the corner. Cédric Dejoux was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Léon Tétard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vincent Leost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Samuel Jean-Baptiste made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vallauris's Eden Salaün tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Vincent Leost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Léon Tétard in the 51st minute. Vincent Leost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jackson Danjou in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Vallauris booed when Caen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Émeric Dewulf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Léon Tétard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Vincent Leost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blaise Boule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eden Salaün having to interfere. Léon Tétard came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vincent Leost could save by the left post. In the 68th minute Blaise Boule shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eden Salaün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Blaise Boule got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuel Jean-Baptiste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eden Salaün having to interfere. If Blaise Boule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léon Tétard struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Vincent Leost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vallauris. Jackson Danjou took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Leost. Vincent Leost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
