Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Philippe Chappe started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Djibril Blanpain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigue Saillant having to interfere. After 6 minutes of play, Montchat's Jean-Marie Pitel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigue Saillant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Djibril Blanpain in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigue Saillant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigue Saillant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djibril Blanpain in the 11th minute of play. Jean-Marie Pitel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigue Saillant having to make a save. 16 minutes into the game, Montchat's Djibril Blanpain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigue Saillant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jean-Marie Pitel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montchat's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Marie Pitel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigue Saillant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Djibril Blanpain might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigue Saillant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Djibril Blanpain ran back to his position shaking his head. The nice shot from Herve Rivet in the 34thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Aymerick Dazy had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Philippe Chappe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Aymerick Dazy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Herve Rivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aymerick Dazy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herve Rivet went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Montchat were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Djibril Blanpain to make the kick off. Herve Rivet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aymerick Dazy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Herve Rivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Stephane Bardel fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plaine's protests and gave Stephane Bardel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Plaine's Stephane Bardel got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jean-Marie Pitel struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rodrigue Saillant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montchat. After 78 played minutes, Plaine's Bryan Alleaume shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aymerick Dazy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Plaine reached it. Philippe Chappe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Aymerick Dazy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Plaine's Philippe Chappe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
