Thibaut Dugue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francois Dubrulle in the 4th minute of the match. If Mathys Cizeron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francois Bouchereau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Augustin Ventre made a huge save. Thibaut Dugue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francois Courtade in the 23rd minute of play. Gerard Gigot kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francois Courtade in the 33rd minute of play forced Battenheim's goalkeeper Thibaut Dugue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Mathys Cizeron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathys Cizeron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathys Cizeron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Augustin Ventre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Rambert struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Augustin Ventre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Battenheim. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 96th minute Christian Rambert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Ventre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Wintzenheim were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Battenheim side.
