In the 6th minute Romaric Bodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calvin Chantepie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Caille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvin Chantepie having to interfere. Calvin Chantepie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Caille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martial Cayrol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Antony Coadou made a huge save. Robert Lempereur kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Brandon Grillet was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Antony Coadou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Grillet in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romaric Bodin to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Romuald Meline mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chapet and the Mathonex players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Romaric Bodin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chapet fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mathonex had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
