Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Genay's Ferdinand Bain started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Drevet getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Erwan Bonnichon hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Drevet's zone, Ferdinand Bain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruce Lavier came out of the goal and Ferdinand Bain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes Drevet got a freekick which was hit by Francois-Xavier Verhaeghe. 23 minutes into the match, Drevet's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Bain came free, but Bruce Lavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Bain in the 26th minute of play forced Drevet's goalkeeper Bruce Lavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Francois-Xavier Verhaeghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, Drevet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francois-Xavier Verhaeghe to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Lavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Bain in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Drevet's Edouard Maziere got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Francois-Xavier Verhaeghe kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Genay's Reynald Belval tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jolan Belotti made a kick off. Drevet's Bryan Barde got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bryan Barde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merlin Le Cam was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Guy Quenault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Genay's Ferdinand Bain in the 69th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bruce Lavier was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Drevet through an amazing save. After having played for 71 minutes, Jolan Belotti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drevet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jolan Belotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Merlin Le Cam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jolan Belotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guy Quenault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Lavier having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Bain in the 92nd minute of play forced Drevet's goalkeeper Bruce Lavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drevet were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Genay for a fine match.
